Guatemala
​

In 2008 the first mission was started in the harbor town Puerto Barrios, Guatemala. Fire fighters without Borders has supplied the fire department of Puerto Barrios with numerous fire fighting equipment. A fire truck was donated by the Fire department of the Mid-West-Brabant region to the Fire fighters of Puerto Barios. in over more than 5 training missions with 4 instructors, we gave htesse firemen the necessary training. The firefighters are now skilled in basic fire safety, extrication techniques and handling hazardous materials. After a few missions the training and exercises focussed on train the trainer levels as well as commanda and control.

Sri Lanka
​

5 instructors have provided training in the Colombo region to support our colleagues in Sri Lanka. The Colombo fire department has a Special Response Unit and they were trained in the fields of Hazardous materials, Command and Control and Urban Search and Rescue. Our instructors also trained dispatchers and instructors. The instructors of the Colombo fire department train fire fighters in all Sri Lanka. 
 

Kyrgyzstan

The Fire fighters without Borders support the fire department of Kant in de Cho region. The foundation supplied a fire truck from the municipality of Muiden (The Netherlands) and gave more that 30 fire fighters a thorough training. The missions focussed on training with the supplied fire truck and basic fire fighting skills. After three missions our instructors organised an instructors training where the best of the best were trained to become instructors. The Cho region received a lot of equipment and the instructors of Kant will train other fire departments in the Cho region.

Bosnia
​

The Fire fighters without Borders have supported the fire department of the Bosnian town Nova Travnik. An areal platform truck and a rapid intervention vehicle with numerous extrication equipment were donated. 4 missions were organized and the training focussed on safe operation of the vehicles and equipment. Basic rescue skills were also part of the training program. This project was supported by Willem van Kuijvenhoven who work extremely hard to receive the required funding for the missions as well as the necessary equipment. 

The Ukraine
​

Together with the Dutch Foundation Humitarian aid for the Children of the Ukraine (Stichting Humanitaire hulp kinderen in de Oekraine) the Fire fighters without Borders supported two orphanages and a childrens hospital in Lviv, Ukraine. Fire fighters without Borders was not able to help the fire department of Lviv, but gave training to the management of the hospital and the staff in the orphanages about fire safety. The foundation also provided the hospital with emergency plans and emergency lights. The projected was done in cooperation with Falck and made possible with donations of RegioSafe.

The Philippines
​

The Fire National Training institute (NFTI) of the Philippines is supported by the Fire fighters without Borders. In a year prior to the mission, our instructors started collecting the necessary equipment. The Fire department of Woerden donated a fire truck that was is very good shape. With the help of the Tilburg fire department the training institute received an enormous amount of fire kits, helmets and a air compressor. The three instructors gave a thorough training and learned the students and teachers how to operate the air compressor. 

Benin
​

The Fire fighters without Borders support the fire department of the Benin' town of Kandi.  A fire truck of the municipality of Eemnes was donated and shipped with the help of the municipality of Chaam.  Two instructors have visited Kandi and gave a basic fire fighting training course to the new fire fighters of Kandi. In the training the students were also trained in the use of the fire truck.
